Music Program

St. Mark's is known for its appreciation of many different styles of music: traditional, gospel, contemporary and everything in between. Led by our accomplished Music Director, Cleveland E. Kersh, music is thoughtfully and comprehensively woven into the texture of worship and parish life at St. Mark's.

Service music and other elements of the liturgy adapt to the season of the Church Year, offering variety and interest. In addition to the Hymnal, 1982 , St. Mark's uses Lift Every Voice and Sing , Wonder, Love and Praise , Voices Found and the supplemental music in Enriching our Music .

At Christmas, Easter, and at other times of the year, the music program incorporates instrumental musicians, further enriching the worship experience.

Our building is an excellent concert setting. Members of St. Mark's and members of the area's rich performing arts community have performed in recent concerts.

Our Lion's Den Coffee House is another venue for musical expression at St. Mark's.
