St. Mark’s is a parish in the Diocese of Newark of The Episcopal Church, which is itself a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. Established in 1925, we bring an ancient faith and modern thought together in a community that represents broad diversity of age, ethnicity, culture, lifestyle, family structure and life experience.

St. Mark’s is a Eucharistic Community trusting in and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We intend to worship together, to pray for one another, to share our lives with one another and to strive toward wholeness in body and spirit. We further intend to reach outside of ourselves to others as Christ’s ministers and to give from what we have been given.

St. Mark’s is fully committed to realizing its philosophy of Celebrating God’s Inclusive Love in every respect. We have long stood for those left on the margins of our society due to social, racial and economic inequities and regularly take part in outreach in our community and the surrounding area. In addition, our buildings are and have been a hub for a variety of community outreach efforts.

In October 2004 we completed extensive renovations to Throw Open the Doors. This project not only created a more open and inviting worship and gathering space, but removed obstacles to those with physical disabilities who wish to participate in worship or answer a call to ministry.

As the world entered a period of uncertainty and isolation with the outbreak of COVID-19, we quickly adapted to employ technology to not only gather in worship but remain in community and mutual care. As restrictions continue to ebb and flow, we offer the opportunity to participate in worship and other activities either in person or online as one’s circumstances and comfort level allow.

We invite you to explore these pages and consider visiting us either in person or on-line. If you have questions or would like to know more, please contact us by phone, email or social media (info below).
