St. Mark’s Small Groups of Faith were born in the spring of 2021 out of a desire to stay socially and spiritually connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to our Daily Office services, which offer the opportunity to name concerns with a request for prayer as well as occasions for thanksgiving, these groups were created to enable a longer and deeper conversation with the cohesion and trust of a consistent circle of fellow parishioners.

What began as a five-week trial has proven popular and the groups continue to meet on Zoom bi-weekly, almost a year later. “These groups are part of our commitment to adult spiritual enrichment and Christian formation,” said Yanna Huls, co-convener. “They offer the chance not only to grow our faith, but to develop deep, life-giving relationships with one another, through the practice of gathering, sharing, reflecting and praying.”
